Life-Changing Faith is driven to serve the spiritual and physical needs of our community. Jesus Christ was not only concerned with the spirit of mankind but with his physical needs of people as well. An occasion was recorded in Matthew Chapter 14 that when Jesus came ashore He saw a crowd of people. The text records that Jesus had compassion on them and healed their sick. His concern for their physical needs did not stop there. When Jesus' disciples came to Him and pointed out that it was dinner time and that He should send the crowd away so they could get something to eat Jesus replied in verse 16, "They do not need to go away; you give them something to eat!"
We feel that we are to participate in providing for those in our community that may not be able to provide for themselves. We should not have to send then away for sustenance, on the contrary, we should give them something to eat.
People in our community hunger for many different things. Some hunger for food, some for shelter, some for medical attention others for low-cost, quality housing, still others for quality after-school care for their children and the list of needs continues. We believe God is more than enough to supply all of their needs according to His riches in heaven. Riches He makes available here on Earth.
Today more than ever it is evident that we need each other - we need community literally to survive. Not just to survive but to enjoy life even life more abundantly. We need community. In fact each of us could truthfully say. "I need community".
To help bridge the needs with the sources, Life-Changing Faith has established the Non-profit 501c (3)-pending Community Development Corporation called iNEED Community, Inc.
Through donations, grants and gifts, iNEED Community, Inc. will seek to serve the physical needs of our neighbors - to be our brothers' keeper.
We all have a part to play in this endeavor. We need your help. If serving others moves you, we need you. If giving of your time, your talent and your money for the benefit of others gives you reason to wake up in the mornings, we need you.
