The Echoes Curriculum by David C. Cook is used in Sunday school.
Echoes uses a unified theme approach – Common theme for whole Sunday school encourages parents to emphasize theme at home. Echoes provides sequential Bible teaching – Excellent, step-by-step, age-appropriate Bible coverage, takes students through the Bible 4 times from elementary through high school. Echoes is Bible-based and Christ-centered. – Full Bible coverage. Emphasis on salvation and lifelong discipleship. Echoes affirms the Bible as being the infallible Word of God. Echoes recognizes life needs of students and reveals life-impacting biblical applications. – Lessons follow 4-step natural learning cycle:
Why is this important to me?
What does the Bible say?
How does this Bible passage work today?
What am I willing to do with what I learned?
Nursery (6 months - 5 years)
Children are welcomed in the Worship Service! If needed, however, a “calming” area for children under 3 years of age accompanied by a parent is available.
Children’s Ministry (6 years - 11 years)
During class time the students will listen to, discuss, and learn to apply Bible stories to present day life. They will have Praise and Worship where they learn new songs, and fellowship with friends while working on crafts and activities that will reinforce the lesson.
Parents are welcome to observe the class in advance, or stay in class with their child until they are comfortable with the classroom environment. (Provided that it does not cause disruption to the lesson.) In addition to the teacher there will be a volunteer available to help with the students. All students must be signed in and signed out by a parent or another designated adult.
There will be 3 age groupings in this ministry:
